Thanks to Nikon Boy for the info on arrival of QE II in Melbourne this afternoon. Arrived at the Station Pier this afternoon as she was just approaching the pier and took a few snaps.

Thanks

Alex, do you have any without the tugs. Shame the tugs look so modern, as this converted to B&W looks great.

Thanks for your comments, John. I don't know if I'd enjoy it either, but what worries me is being stuck on the ship with the same people day in day out for months :-)

Alex, when i went on the Oriana i went to the pictures and was when Jaws came out and well of all movies to have on was the Posiodon Adventure and Jaws. :( We caught the tail end of a cyclone between Auckland and Suva and yeh i was crook as a dog and could hardly walk when we did get on land as felt like i was swaying, and i more than likely was. I spent more time in the pool as was only place i didnt feel sick, or i was getting tossed around like a whirlpool washing machine.

The back end of this old girl is certainly much more attractive than some of the younger models getting around.

She certainly is a majestic old lady. So is her namesake.
