In keeping with the ES and a few of my single colour themes, here is some Tassie Botany.



At the risk of sounding a bit corny, this one could be titled - Miles to go before I sleep.



Of the birds and the bees and the insects. Look closely thats no reflection.

Nosh you've continued with some great shots in part 2.

#1 While I like it, I'll be picky and say.. you missing a bit of the rock at the top, and the flare is a bit too much for me.

#2 Love this, its grea and I hope you have a spot on your wall ready to hang this one.. gorgeous stuff

#3 Interesting shot, and a case of great timing I guess to get the sun only lighting up the top of the rocky outcrop (can't I call it that even when it's that big? )

#4 A place with a dark past but a rising sun, lovely shot I really like the little details above the ridge that the sun is rising behind...

#5 Um.. not so keen on this shot, and to mee looks like you have something on your filter or lens.. about middle of the shot. some weird smudgey marks ? They look out of place

#6 I like this one as it gives the impression the path is leading all the way to the mountain in the background.

#7 Look very much like 'Rooter Beatles' living up to their name.

i like our creative use of lens flare to add that extra oomph, it's also got a certain nostalgia too it

'The track.' i like best because it has such a sexy tone about it, it's contrasty mysterious and so appealing on an aesthetic level, woudl make a great location for a fashion shoot yeah!

the port artur one is gorgeous too, never seen light like that before, did you get a zoom pic of it too?

Yes the lighting was simply beautiful for The Track. Lasted about all of 5 minutes. I guess the clouds in Tasmania and fires on the mainland also contributed towards all the dramatic lighting.

Would be a great location for a fashion shoot I agree. Must try it sometime. Should work out well with a few reflectors and SB800s.

I'm a big fan of this series

1. This is great - I like the flare, but it's a shame about the rock cut off at the top

2. Very nice addition to the cradle mountain series. Nice reflections.

3. Nice composition - it's a shame that there wasn't more sun on the rocky outcrop

4. This is the pick of the lot. Beautiful shot

& I'm astounded that I remembered that Robert Frost quote from year 8 English

Nosh Love the use of flare to enhance the impact of #1
#2 Beautiful capture, horizon needs straightening the other, ripple on water, you can't do much aboout.
#3 is spectacular with the sublte lighting splashed across the craggy crest. Only advice would be to crop or clone the blot on this natural beauty the telegraph pole on far right margin.
#4 also spectacular lighting. I would suggest cropping foreground rocks/reef off and again straighten the horizon I would probably experiment dodging the darkish clouds to make them even more menacing to the glorious sunrise/sunset
