Steve, I'm not sure what you mean by a false sunset. It looks real to me.
Cheers

Steve - Were you playing with filters again ? Is that what you meant by "false" sunset ?

Point Perpendicular is one of my favourite landmarks, and you've done it well.

Yep, grad-tobacco filter to add some colour to what was otherwise a boring colourless sky. A 20 year old filter too, that just keeps going and going :)

Nice trick :) It works very well, you must have got you moneys worth after 20 years :)

You know, I usually look at pics taken with coloured filters and feel the effect is "fake" and overdone. Until seeing this pic, I could never see what other people saw in them. In this one, however, I think the filter really adds to the image - love it.

I agree, the use of filters can look really crap and overdone. Subtlety is the key to success. Unless you want something to look like pop-art of course. :)

A little known bit of trivia.

Jervis Bay, where this was taken, is also the Port of Canberra and is a part of the Australian Capital Territory.

The diving there is very good. NIce use of the filter Steve - its a lovely spot. Rock climbers go there a fair bit too.
