Nice shot Bel, a Man and his Lens, at full extension too! I really like it, and agree with Geoff, about the nice PP work too :) :) :)

I think the look on Leigh's face was what we were all feeing - had just enjoyed a yummy breakfast and had driven to the pub where we were waiting anxiously for the arrival of Thaddeus in his chopper. As Murphy's law would suggest - soon after we left (by road) Thaddeus was hovering over us at the Hunter Valley Gardens - doh! :D

Bel - a wonderful capture of an elusive subject. The Leighacticus Starkum is a wonderful example of a night animal caught during daytime, which in itself is very rare.

An excellent candid :)

Sorry guys, I didn't realise that people were waiting to photograph my landing. I'll try to be more punctual in future!

Not a problem Thaddeus - nothing could have put a dampner on the week end and it was fantastic to see you anyway :)

There's some subtle freudianisms going on here.

Subtle?

There's a first time for everything, I guess. :)

Looks a bit like the Sigma 70-300. Lucky it's not placed elsewhere too.

Looks like Leigh's half asleep. Was that a large breakfast??

I'm not 100% convined about the B&W - perhaps if the rest of the photo was in-focus then the extra sharpness in the shot would have made it a bit more compelling. To me it looks like it's had the soft-focus treatment

Well Leigh usually carries a 70-300G not the Sigma.

Bel

A great shot that's very Leigh (I can see the weight of the world on his shoulders). I'm not sure about the B & W treatment either. I'd have liked to have seen a bit more contrast.
