Hi again,

Just going through the macros from today and found a variation of the one I posted earlier...

In this shot the flash was in a different place. A lot more off to the side.

I think it makes the fly look a lot better but am not sure about the background. Any comments on which image is better and why?

First one because it has a nicer crop and also the eyes are much clearer. The position of the first fly is also more pleasing because the background flows with the direction in which the fly is facing. The second shot lacks this feature, its like its flying into the frame instead of somewhere.

Maybe I am crazy. but its my honest opinion.
