Barry as Leigh has said most people can't see them Pixspot posts anymore, I can and I like the shots I'm impressed by the lack of noise in this shots for ISO 1600. Have you used any Noise reduction programs ?

Nnnnsic - what do i use in lieu of pixspot.

I used pixspot for all three shots. Why did one work and two not?

Alpha_7 - no I have not use any NR programs, in fact these shots are straight out of the camera without any pp.

Barry,

Pixspot doesn't work well with the forum any longer, if you can see 1 shot and not the other two it may be because it's cached.. there doesn't seem to be too much method in it's madness.

Here is a thread - http://www.dslrusers.com/viewtopic.php?t=12926 that discussed Pixspots demise and other alternatives, Flickr is free and SmugSmug requires a fee (but has a 7 day trial) check them out, or other free hosting services to see what suits your own needs. There is also the dreamhost option, were you can get 20GB worth of hosting at a yearly fee.

For straight out of the camera these are really good, what lens were you using ?

Barry ATM SmugMug is down for some server maintenance. Happens about every few months for an hour or two on a Tuesday night which is low traffic time for them given that it's in the US.

How do you find it for this type of photography ? The VR would be good, but I imagine it would quiet heavy and bulky so hard to hand hold for a long set ? But I guess if your at the back and sitting down then it is less of a problem.

Yeah it is a bit heavier than a normal lens but like everything you get used to it. I mainly use it for motor racing though. These shots are the first time I have taken concert shots.

Will try to add images using flickr tomorrow.

The links work this time, but was that your intention, or were you trying to link straight to the images, so they appeared in your post ?

Can anyone tell me why my images do not show using [Img].

I have used this method before without any problems. Is it because I am now using Flickr?

Alpha_7 - yes it was intent to use images in the post not a URL path, but I can't seem to get it to work.

Barry your are damned close, just drop the ?v=0 from the end, so you have http://static.flickr.com/15/93546959_af17d31f2b.jpg For img to work the bit before the [/img] must be the end of the filename.

I've taken the liberty of editing your post to fix it for you since that's something us mods can do

Okie dokie... when you make a link to an image, [img] code will only recognise it if the link is showing the image, not a coding connected to some sort of codebase... so it has to end in an image suffix, like .jpg or .png or .gif.

So...

Image

...doesn't work.

But if you remove that "?v=0", it will, like so:
