Some more dark sky stuff

Tonights efforts
The frist one shows you that there are a huge amount of satellites up there, 3 in 15 seconds..taken with the 50mm but at f2.5 this time 1600 ISO
This next one was taken with a 17mm lens at f4 and 3200 ISO for 30 seconds..
Last one is of a satellite passing through one of our companion galaxies - the satellite trail is faint.. 50mm 1600 f2.5

Lovely lovely stuff, simple inspirational. I'm definitely going to try a little of this over the weekend when I'm away from the big smoke (weather permitting). Out of the Kit lens, 80-200 2.8 and 70-300G which is the better lens ? kit for the wide angle ? or 80-200 for the 2.8 ?

That would be the above mentioned satellite, Wendell.
If you look closely there are a number of them moving quickly over the night sky, captured as faint light trails.

Go for the 2.8 to start with and then try the kit for the wide angle....with the wide angle you can probably go to 30 seconds without star trailing but at the longer focal lengths, keep to 20 or so..
