I wish I had brought the 300mm. Then again, I wouldn't have survived the cliff crawl with that one dangling around my neck, too

Wendell was just rying to capture images others would not attempt from what I have seen so far. My hat's off to Wendell for doing so.

I have taken several shots along the water and I have gotten wet several times (including the camera ) but these are the things you must do at times to get the perspective others will not attempt.

Bravery? should be deep thinking before doing anything like this stunt man.
We do not want the mourning session and black ribbon across our board, do we?

This reminds me of when I go shooting anywhere with my older brother. We both have always been competitive, and find ourselves trying to get ext-reme (boring filter!) perspectives, asking beautiful strangers to behave like models, risking life and limb climbing trees, hanging our of car windows, etc. Good fun but he always mildly irritates me!

Great work Steffan! I love the last one, where you've got him and the reflection retreating from the front line.

yup, stupidy should be painful
it's not bravery, kids don't try this on the beach, this is what happens when i don't eat breakfast when i wake up, i get silly.

I know that headland well.. and Yes Wendell you were lucky...

That bit has a real suck... as in it is the underlying structure of the wave that determines how far it goes... what can seem like a small wave can sweep right in...

Oh Wendell, I should have known something was up when you kept asking if I was alright to drive, having had no sleep the night before... but you were in worse shape than me, brain-function wise.

Great capture Steffen. Luckily it didn't turn out to be a documentary of the death of a D2X.
