Some of the furry (or scaly) friends I met on my holidays.... Click on the thumbs for bigger pics.
Monkeys at Batu Caves, KL. These were taken with the 70-300G at 300mm, ISO 1600, f/5.6.. Basically getting every last bit of light I could out of it, this turned out the best of the lot. Shutter speed wasn't fast enough to freeze the action unfortunately.

One of my cousin's dogs in Singapore. Italian Greyhound, I think. Very friendly, as you can see....

Sea-dragon at Underwater World, at Singapore's Sentosa Island. Taken with the 18-70, through the glass of the tank

Likewise with this shot, except it's a jellyfish - really liked how this one turned out.

70-300G @ 300mm - Given more light, the 70-300G can deliver a decently sharp pic after a bit of molesting in photoshop.

Pink Dolphin at Sentosa Island - the 70-300G again.

Singapore's night safari. Dark as hell, so I used the 50/1.8. This is a handler with a serval, which is a cat-like thing about the size of a large-ish dog. Can leap pretty high!
<a target="_blank" href="http://thesystemisdown.com/gallery/albums/userpics/malaysia06/gallery/msia_gallery_animals07.jpg"><img src="http://thesystemisdown.com/gallery/albums/userpics/malaysia06/gallery/normal_msia_gallery_animals07.jpg" border="0"></a>
Comments welcome as always. I found I had a hell of a time taking photos of animals (even worse than kids!). Had to keep my distance, so really had to take out the 70-300 quite often, which normally stays in the bag while I use the 18-70.
