I like the last one. What was he on? Did you put him on a table or something?

Sitting on a piece of clear glass.... did it outside.. used penlight so help with focusing but not to spook him.. and after the photos, was released back in the garden

That is one cute lizard. I like the reflections coming off the glass and the first shot is my favourite.

My guess is an Asian House Gecko (Hemidactylus frenatus), which is probably our most common. It's the only introduced species we have here and has spread really rapidly.
Happy for Narelle, Damian, Finch or any other fauna guru to correct me on the identification.
Oh - beautiful shots Tim. You can be very proud of them!

Pretty easy Tim - I've got one of them climbing around the wall of my study as I type this. They're great for keeping bugs out of your house.

Wonderful pics. I also like the reflection and the black background works really well.

The glass was a great idea to present the lizard in a different light. I have a large skink living under my oven perhaps he'll come out to had his photo taken, or I could ask the blue tongue nicely

The Glass was an accident waiting to happen.. while stuffing around trying to get a photo of the gecko, i took a shot looking at him, i was essentially trying to get a photo of him from below... a gecko silhoette.. but the glass was causing glare.. but when i took a shot from above while looking at him, i noticed that the gecko got a bit of reflection, but it gave him a black background.. which made him stand out even more.. and i think its worked out better then trying to get a gecko shot from underneath... something ill probably try again in the future
