OK I've got no excuses since I've been back a while. I got my butt into gear after coming back from Edithvale this arvo (thanks Oneputt!) and have put together a few photos from my 2 week stay in Qld. Thanks again to everyone for organising the 4wd meet and making me feel welcome. :D I also enjoyed the rest of my stay and it was a very productive visit photo wise. Lots of ideas for next time I go back to visit the family. Anyway here are 3 pics from the meet and 2 pics from other outings I had.

Tawny Frogmouth (thanks to Bernie for spotting)

Nicole these eastern creek egret and dragonfly are exception
i know how hard it is to get close enough to take a decent nature pick, you have shown here your skillls in stealth, and aartistic approach to great results

bird pic's colour contrast is commendable!

Hi Nicole.

I have just joined this forum recently and love checking out member's pics. I especially adore nature shots, being a nature photographer myself. This is the first time I have seen your pics and I must say they are brilliant. Close-up of Tawny Frogmouth, Robber fly and dragonfly are all great but the egret is an absolute classic. The sharpness, beautiful morning (?) light, composition and stunning waves in background make this photo a stunner.

I will look out for your name for any new pics you post.

Cheers

Michael

Nicole

These are of your usual high standard with the two bird shots the stars for me.

Thanks for the comments. :D

It was great having such a variety of new birds and wildlife up there. I was planning on going to the Grampians next weekend but will have to call tomorrow to find out what damage the fire up there has done.

The quality of the shots are outstanding. My fav is the dragonfly with really nice out of focus effects which draws you to the subject.
