Grevilleas

Spent some time this morning at Fairhill Botanical Gardens. There were a lot of grevilleas in flower. Here are just two.

Maybe it's macro fatigue, but the first one just doesn't grab me. It's perfectly exposed, but is a little soft so that may be it. The second one, however is much better. It's sharper, but more importantly stands out well from the contrasting background.

Peter I know what you mean about macro fatigue. I almost didn't post for that very reason.

I have just had another look at the raw images at actual pixels and I cannot see any real softness. The light was very subdued, and then again it could just be my eysight, in which case it is time to give the game away.

....... anyway all of us have good days and off days.......... I have had a lot of off days of late.......so don't feel too bad.....

Look fine to me, but I may be biased as I love grevilleas :D

photographers block is quite common........ you just have to get out there and shoot, or out the window....... or just send your gear to the Gold Cost for an extened holiday, I do know a good spot for your gear to rest.........

I know a great spot down the road too.. not far from you Oneputt, infact.. only a few minutes!
