I like #2 and #6 here Leigh.
I think the close ups of the grapes might be better in colour. I kind of get lost in what I'm looking at.

In my opinion this whole set is a lot weaker in impact and power then your Gothic Catherdral series, it might be unfair to compare apples and grapes but in this case I am. Out of all of these the last one is probably my favourite... I also agree with Matt the B&W doesn't complement the grapes where a colour shot might.

I really like #1, but may have been inclined to have cropped off the LH building. #2 is also very good and I like the treatment (as an aside I'm not happy with any of my shots of the vines - this better than what I got). I also quite like #6

#1 It's just too ordinary of an Army barrack.
And the rest, sorry Leigh, I'm not in B&W mood and these didn't give me much of thought either.
Leigh, these above are my personal taste, pls. don't take it as an offence.

I don't take critiques as personal offense Birdy, and I know you're not a black and white person.

I actually shot a lot of images there and am going to give them a second run-through as I feel I've rushed my post-processing on these ones and haven't even posted the IR ones I shot.

may i ask what exactly you learned about wine?

I agree with Birdy re the first shot but I really like the B & W shots. Seeing grapes in colour is picture postcard stuff whilst the graininess of the B & W tells it like it is. Thats my two cents.

I learned how everything affects the wine, the flavour, the scent, the type of barrel it's stored in, how the different factors work, the environmental concerns, and the way the pallete is for different ages.

Apparently I'm odd that way with the pallete.

were you drinking when you took these photographs, the style is somewhat different to your usual work

anyway Peter i would liek to learn about wine, i choose wine purely on the quality of the design of the label, if it's a great design it must be great wine
i buy penfolds for this reason

Not forgetting the "pallet" to store bulk goods on. (It also means a straw platform for sleeping on).
