Beautiful images Nick #3,4, 11 and 12 are my picks. Love the strong contrasty colours, they suit the images.

Last time i was in the helicopter I was taking shots for a property owner. There just isn't a lot of room on those mustering helicopters. You are vertually sitting on the rails. Anyhow, I'm not good with heights but because i was focussing on taking the shots it was ok, by crikies they dive around, takes your breath away at times , well i had my face planted on the viewfinder most of the time and not looking at the horizon. Needless to say motion sickness grabbed hold of me good. I thumbed down to him but too late threw up onto my camera and as I leaned out, wind rushing past of course, to relieve myself of the other load it all just was thrown back into the cockpit and completely covered the windshield and the pilot. He just put the chopper into a downward spiral and landed me in a heartbeat. Needless to say I hiked back the 2.5 km back to the homestead.
Took me much apologising and a good hour to clean his chopper when he got back So mustering choppers and me have an agreement now. I keep away from them they keep away from me

I really like your shots Nick - the only thing I don't like is the horizon in the headland pic - but there's not much you can do about that .....

What a view! It's the closest thing to having a "virtual" eye. The world looks so innocent and beautiful from a great height. Pity about reality.

I like #9, the intersection at Hunters Hill - the slowly intersecting curves really grab me

I'm guessing you had a great time.

For me, the first 6 are too bright and oversaturated, but I'm guessing that was the look you wanted. I really like #7 and #8 (tiny red thing to clone out bottom right). #9 the colour bothers me, but less so than the first 6 - otherwise I like the composition of this, #11 I like too and the juxtaposition of the stadium & the field works really well.

Awesome images. The height makes Sydney look interesting, or that could be your photos.

I love 4,5 and 6. The power of the ocean is quite graphic in them shown well by all that white wash.

nice pics, did u shoot 4 with a CPL? if not then those are very dark / deep waters!

Awesome stuff! I'm glad you got some great shots out of the experience, but I think the camera can't really capture what it's like buzzing around up there, plus you can only ever point it in one direction at a time

Peter, it is look I wanted, but partly because a fair number of the whites were very bright or blown.

Didn't use a CPL Kenny (had lent it to a mate ).

Some great pics Nick! I'm sure you were envied by many on the forum. Thanks for posting these well taken images! Any more? I agree with Peter - some of them seem (to me) to be a little OVER saturated but I like them none the less.

I like the ocean shots and the power that they project personally but I have to ask what is number #10? lloks like a roller cost ride over a sludge pond
