Few Macro - 13 shots

Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Slider dropped back my 200mm today so Oneputt BigRed & Myself went for a drive back to the Botanic Gardens at Cooroy hope you like the pics

The Bird of Paradise is absolutely striking :!: Love the saturation and vibrant colors! Well done!

The bee.....kind hard to "drive" when someone is covering your eyes :shock: ..........but would make it easier for a photog 8)

You have raised my desire to get out and shoot :!: :idea: :idea: :idea: :idea: I think I'll have to make an effort and get up early to take some shots now......

Kevin. Impossible to pick a favourite from these fine specimens (although I'd clone out that cockroach!) Seeing these and the shots Mark (Slider) took with the same lens would have to inflame the lust for that lens in any viewer. I'm guessing it's more practical than the 105 too. I think these have been PP'd to perfection - fantastic colours and so sharp my eyes are bleeding.

For now I'll just settle for my 10.5 FE :roll:

Kevin beautifully constructed images, as always :wink: Colours and sharpness make everyone lust uncontrollably for that Micro 200 :twisted:
The colour, contrast and ability to create the gorgeous OOF background make that lens a Nikon classic together with your fine skills on how to use it :wink:
I really like the 11th one, the one after your copulation series :lol: , in particular the cockroaches :shock: , the composition and all of the above make it a stand out for me. #3 is beautifully lit and well composed but the distraction of the dried twig in foreground diminishes its impact, but they are all great :)

i saw the pics straight out of the camera and they were fantastic then ... knowing kevins PP skill they will be even better now.

Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes.

I can see them too Kevin, but like you I've viewed them previously so they'll be in the browser's cache.

John's images also hosted on Photobucket aren't showing at present either.
