Doug, great shot but just a tad dark on my monitor, you sort of lose the bridge in the dark background. If you open it in PS and play with the shadow/highlight sliders a little you might be able to bring out the bridge a little more without the rest of the pic taking the viewers eye away from the subject.

ditto what johndec said - would like to see if you can bring out the top of the bridge a bit more :)

It's a really nice capture though, and good timing.

I hope this is enough improvement. I didn't want to lighten the overall photo, so I blended 2 images. Thanks for the comments :)

you could try the dodge tool, don't worry if it is a bit light, then go >edit>fade dodge tool, to what you want.......

when using the dodge tool keep your finger on the mouse button till finished.......

I like that much better Doug. I'm a PS dope  things like blending images and dodge and burn are past this poor simple fools comprehension.

I really should read a few of the several thousand PS tutorials on the net.

Doug, Nice view from the Balcony....

The shot is a tad dark, esp the top of the bridge - they should put some lights on top of it

Don't worry, John, I used the shadow/highlight as you suggested first, then blended the images. :)
