Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. I like these too Hynie BUT
#2 i'd be tempted to get in much closer to those statues, picking out the deatils and points of interest. #3 I like the way you were using the path and gardens to lead the eye into the scene and the gates to help frame it, however, not strongly enough. Similarly #4 i think getting roght up against the wabenach up against the wall and shot upwards. Last one lacks a point of interest. I really think taken at a more favourable time of day early morning late evening would really turn these images into something special. In a nutshell the lighting needs to be more engaging and transformative to really make these images work. Hope comments are of use ![]() cheers marco
That's why holiday shots are such a bummer. I would love to pop back and improve my European shots now I know a little bit more. Oh to live in England where it is a short, cheap flight away. ![]() I like number 4 - the colours and texture of the old buildings appeal to me. Nikon D7000
