does anyone know what plant this may be? it is a small waxy flower growing on sandy soil near Noosa on the Queensland Sunshine coast.

My best guess is Ricinocarpus pinifolius, otherwise known as Wedding Bush (family Euphorbiaceae), but it's a bit difficult to tell without seeing the whole plant (less flowers, more foliage to help with perspective ).
Were the flowers scented at all?

I agree with Kinetic - but would be useful to have a clearer view of the foliage - looks right for wedding bush though.

One other useful characteristic is the fruit - should be a 'rounded, lobbed green capsule with a lumpy surface'.
