Found this guy swimming around in a dam up the Hunter Valley.
Very hot day around 40 degrees C.

As you can tell from the exposure data, very harsh lighting conditions. I'm not sure what i could of done to prevent the burn out of some of the plummage.
Would this pic benefit from cropping??

Hi APOLLO_CAT,

I have taken some liberty to do the highlight/shoadow adjustment to
your photo with PhotoShop CS2.

This is what it looks like:

I hope you don't mind and please let me know if you would like this to be removed.

Hi Christiand,
Not offended at :)
In fact i'd be delighted if you could share with me how you gained more detail in the shadows. Thanks.
ps I only have PS 7.

Hi APPOLO_CAT,

I guess a smilar if not the same result can be achieved by
changing Levels.
I don't know PS7 well, however try Image, Adjustments, Levels
and change the levels to: 0 2.0 255
