A couple from Landcruiser Mountain Park from the weekend. Won't bore all the non-4wdrivers with 4x4s at wierd angles :D

Both taken with Nikkor 35-105 Macro

Hey Mark,
Not keen on the horizontal line through the bottom of the first one, I find it distracting, but really like the second one. Nice pic!

Nice images Mark #2 is the better. I would have moved slightly to the left to avoid the overlap of the 2 seed heads and also probably positioned them in a better compositional format offset so to speak.
cheers

Hi Mark,

I like the photos.
I like how you set the DOF, it really emphasises the object.
I do find some of the "stuff" in the back ground a little bit distracting
and that is something that may not be controlled easily.

Great photos,
CD

These don't do much for me at all. The second one could have been improved by moving a few centimetres to avoid the overlapping background.

Bring on the 4wd pics!

Thanks for the comments and advice folks. :D

There was a bit of a breeze so it was a matter of waiting for the grass to bend and grabbing the shot before it sprung back. I should have spent a bit more time on it in hindsight as there was quite a variety of different types of grasses and it might have made a nice series .

Thanks Mark, as I said in the other thread, you 4x4 shots are far superior in my opinion to your grass macros here. That is probably more of a reflection on the subject matter then your technique.
Thanks,
Craig
