Gidday,

Went for a drive to Boronis Street, Belrose on Saturday night. The whole street get into the Christmas spirit. Nearly every house and front garden is covered with lights.

The Bush Fire Brigade and Rotary club are set-up collecting donations.
4 x Mr Whippy vans and a mobile Coffee Van also. Take the kids and dog and have a wander down this street if your near the area. It's more than worth it.

Shots with kit lens and handheld.

Cheers

Some great shots, I love the Santa's and Snowman shots!

I've been meaning to go for a walk around our neighbour as some pretty lights are on display... (where these handheld or did you take your tripod?)

Craig,

All were handheld.
I have lots of rejects because of my movement ( where has that challenge gone? )

As I started my walk and shoot, someone was finishing with his SLR + tripod. I would recommend a tripod if you want to get decent shots.

Cheers

Thanks Wocka..
I thought handheld would be a trifle tricky unless I was boosting the ISO (which I do by accident too much as it is..). I am a little warey of standing on the street with a tripod looking into peoples houses... its just a tad more casual with the camera round your neck :)

Certainly has the Christmas feel - makes one all warm and fuzzy. Interesting to note the Star of David in the first shot
