Truely, they're too dark on my 3 difference monitors.
Maybe, I need new replacements monitors or visit my Optometrist for a new set of reading glass.

Yeah, they are dark because I didn't want to make them brighter Left them dark and contrast on purpose, to create particular mood. I didn't want to create realistic image. Just a different look to the beach. Not sure if I achieved exactly what I wished but I like these photos and that's why I'm sharing them

Well Mikhail, you have horizons straight as far as I can see... and my pet hate in landscapes is tilted horizons, so I think they're great!

I like the contrasty land bits - but the sky seems not to 'match up'... maybe try artificiallly saturating them. The first two, foreground interest is great - it does a good job leading the eye into the picture to give a sense of scale.

Mikhail to be honest with you these aren't my cup of tea. I think the last one could of been improved with the whole "rubber ducky"/zodiak appearing in shot. As CHI mentioned the sky doesn't match the landscape below it.

I don't know what you guys mean by "sky doesn't much to landscape" I have to assure you that it hasn't been modified. All I've done is some levels/curves/saturation. Nothing else.

These images look like film scans. Have you been playing with your film camera again Mikhail?

I'm not switching anywhere. I'm still using my D70 but I'm using my film cameras from time to time.

As I mentioned above I was not going to make a documentary image of Dee Why and Long Reef and I agreed that colors aren't right. Artist, painting with watercolor for example, can not make natural and right colors - he/she creates new image. And that is what I was trying to do and that what's photography is all about. If I wanted proper colours I could take D70, grey card and result would be just regular dull landscape with natural colours

So the purpose of these photos and this particular thread is not for C&C as stated in your post.
I understood, everyone has his/ her way to shoot or display the photo + colouring etc... but when you asked people to C&C (comments & thoughts), then there're replies.
If you just mentioned or asked : Film or Digi film?
Then the replies will be difference.

Why it should make this difference? As soon as I scanned film and frame was imported to PS it is digital. From this point doesn't matter what was media wich captured image - you can manipulate properly captured digital image and make tham look very similar to what I've done.

All above just my IMHO and point of view to photography No offence mentioned to anyone

And this is the Image Reviews and Critiques section/ We have the Film section on this board also.

If it's the case, you shouldn't seek the comments and thoughts (C&C).

Coz, good or bad, or ugly or awesome, it's your choice!
