This was taken with my new Sigma 150 2.8 macro and SB800.
Thanks to Birddog for organising both of these for me.
A fair bit of learning this weekend with 2 new toys.

A piece of Firecracker Honeysuckle forced it's way thru my side fence.
I think I'm starting to get the hang of this small aperture stuff so that the macros have some dof. Taken at f22.

Cheers, John

Wow, the depth of color and clarity is terrific! You put my efforts at flower stuff to shame, this looks bloody great!

Pretty good shot, John. :-) I think you'll like that combo. It sure made a difference when I added flash to my macros. 8)

Thanks Steve, Andrew and Kerry. This was taken on my 2nd outing with Sigma and SB800. I think it's an improvement on the day before when I used on board flash. Going down to minimum aperture (f22) sure gives more dof. I'm also manually focussing which is a first for me, so lots of new things being tried. I've got 2 weeks off work over Christmas, so heaps of opportunities coming up.

Cheers, John

Thanks Marco, hope you have as much fun with the lens as I'm having.
