This was a shot I took at the Sydney Mirco Meet, Taro was nice enough to model his shadow and the impressive 200-400 (I think, am I right Taro?).

When I was lookin at the shot I noticed how monochromatic it turned out, so I had a little play (still practicing my PP skills) and came up with these two versions.

The first shot has just been resized and mildly sharpened.

The second I've tried to desaturate it, which I think creates an interesting effect, considering there wasn't much to destat in the first place.

Sorry I was too lazy to crop the yucky top right section out...

Was bored and couldn't sleep so did a third version.. more art then photo now this is a crude blend of an effects layer and the original... it was fun watching the granites texture change using the different effects on it..

Craig - I prefer the first one - its sharper. Why didnt you take that lens while he wasnt looking ???

Craig

Do you ever sleep? #2 and #3 both work pretty equally for me. #3 proves why you need to get more sleep

Very good idea for a photo Craig, and quite well done. But you know that there was a photo you took yesterday that I was particularly impressed with.
