Dockyard B&W

Two unremarkable images that come to life in B&W. The contrasts not only in greyscale, but also the time differences of the subjects, the really old and the new(ish).

I have been taking pics of the wharf in no 1 for awhile but have never cracked a shot as good as that. It is very atmospheric.

great shots....... but they seem to be a bit flat and lack a bit of contrast......on my monitor

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I was trying to keep an historical theme when i PP'ed them.

BP, the contrast looks fine on my 10 yo (nearly dead) Mitsubshi DiamondView 17" CRT. :) It should print well.

Great atmosphere to these, I always have trouble getting a good B&W feel but these are terrific...
