Strange pic for a first posting....but.

This is my first image post, not a fantastic lightning shot, or a great scenic, or even a sort of nice portrait....but just a bit of fun.

Was wasting a few idle minutes at my desk with D70 in hand. Thought I'd try a hand held stereo shot.
Time from first shutter release to finished image, under 5 minutes.

Fantastic Mike. I remember trying to get the hang of those magic eyes when they first came out.

Incidently, I saw a whole series of stereoscopic images but the subject was beautiful nude models. I must try and find thelink.

Nice work

Stare at the centre of the two images.
Let your eyes relax, so that you in effect focus past the images.
You should gradually see third, centre, image which will be in 3D.
However there are some people who can not do this.

Like me for example...lol. I would stare at those "hidden pictures" thing for ages and never see them...sigh :)
Thanks for the answer anyway.

They are rather tricky.
I found the link to the other site - beware, it has nekked wimin on it, but I have to say, it's a lot more fun trying to see it on this site rather than a bottle and a vcr cassette :D

For those for whom too much Hoff is not enough, we can practise 3D here

Interesting effect, of course I had to check out the err ummm other site with the models... Now I'm not sure whether the cross eyed effect was the photographic technique, the subject, or just me goin' funny...

My eyes hurt... :?

Hehehe, I'm glad I'm not the only fan... I actually only recently added Mallrats to my DVD collection, just had it on video before... some classic comedy in there.
