Another great spot that Birddog was kind enough to show us, only problem is it's hard to take good pics with all of the professionals in the way :lol:

The benefits of scouting the location ahead of time. Shame about the wildlife since this is otherwise a great shot.

Ha, that's one thing that always cracks me up on work-shops, with all the tripods... Plonking your tripod down is like marking your territory, just more hygienic :lol:

In that first shot the WB is off. Leon was wearing a white shirt and I had on a bone coloured one. Here they both look bluish.

Beautiful light boys. Nice shots Lostdingo. I think the boys add foreground interest and apart from the extra thatching sheepie carries and without seeing sheepie's shorts you'd swear they were twins! :wink:

Good to see you out and about together boys, makes me jealous. :roll:

I'm sure there were a stack of great shots to be had. Actually it would be interesting to see side by side shots of same scene same lenses between the D2x and the D70.

Yes Birdie, I'd be more then happy to come.. infact.. all this photography has finally got my considering getting my license so I can actually go places!!!

Yes, why not?
You can come up by train or bus, train to Newcastle and bus to Anna Bay, or bus direct from Sydney to Anna Bay or Nelson Bay, or joining with other in their car who's going upthere.
Get your license is the best bet.

Craig... you dont have a licence???

Woot... i dont feel alone anymore!!! im 23 and i cant drive... got a really nice car sitting in the garage ive been paying off for the last 2 years waiting for me to get my licence.. a 89 Pajero...

p.s. All this photography stuff makes me want to drive too... but i dont trust other drivers... been in 3 car accidents in the last few months.. and alot of major close calls..

It's 2.1/2 hours drive from Sydney, the spot is called: Fisherman Bay, 5 minutes from Anna Bay, Ports Stephens.

I'm actually starting to enjoy seeing these pics including me at work. I always try and take some of others while on these outings, as I think it adds to the record of activity - Hopefully they get as much enjoyment from them as I've had from the couple shown from this trip

You're not alone, few guys on this board do not have a D/L yet, I don't know why. Perhaps they don't think and know the needs of it.
Anyway, having a D/L will make your life easier, especially when you want to travel to places with your hobbies and enjoying your freedom.

I Can Understand the benefits.... ive got hundreds of places i wanna visit... and take photos of.. im just slow i guess hehehe... i had my boat for a year before i got a boat licence.... now when i go fishing with mates (just sold my boat) they tell me im driving because they arent as confident behind the wheel when heading 75kms offshore
