Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

G'day all,
Haven't posted for a while, was determined to go out and play this morning... Thought I'd get up early and head out to Williamstown for a sticky nose hoping for a nice sun-rise... Not sure what the area is called, where the old anchor is in a small park near Port Gellibrand(sp?), but just ended up fodder for a GAZILLION bloody mozzies, strewth! It was SPLAT! (press remote), SPLAT! (press remote), SPLAT! (press remote)... Geeesss, after gaining a few pounds from dead mozzies all over me I gave up and went to another spot...
Anyway, was fun just thought Id' post for a sticky...
Both with 12-24...
Cheers.
Had to do a fair bit of "distorting" to correct "perspective warp(?)" in this shot, not sure why is was so pronounced in this particular shot, the yacht masts were leaning over quite a lot...? Hmmm, now I look at it I shouldn't have been so lazy with the dodgin' 'n burnin', bit slack there... Ah well, twas just a quickie, only spent a few minutes on it

Aka Andrew

Hi Andrew,
nicely done on the first one. Really like the moss covered rocks and the sun just about to burst through the clouds, very sharp as well, pitty about the mozzies. Can't see any big ones! Don't forget the Rid next time
Second one doesn't do much for me, colours weren't quite there yet I guess, something missing. A couple sitting on the bench would have been nice, don't forget your props next time.
Cheers and thanks for sharing.
André

Hi Mudder. I saw the images before looking to see who had posted them and I knew they were yours. There is something unique in the tone of your images, but I just can't put my finger on it
Brave man for getting up early, I try but just keep pressing snooze!
As post above said... don't forget the Rid!

Andrew - both pics are superb but in particular #2. There is almost a Constable feel to the colours and in particular the highlights - well done

I like both of the shots. The colour is excellent and the composition is spot on!
