I like this shot - it reminds me of the backgrounds behind 2D platform games, great texture. There is a chance I'm going to be in Mexico for Easter next year, never been there before.

thanks for the visual feast. I also like the image. That mistiness in the backgorund reall adds to the visual impact.

Love it. I agree that the mist in the background really makes it.

Kinda Ghostly (pardon the pun)

Fantastic!!
The trees in the forground all appear to be leaning together as if they are worshiping the sunset/sunrise.... and the trees in the background are all queuing up in the mist to take their turn :)

Heath is right this reminds me of a desktop background, or from a 2D platform game, Jungle Jill or the like.. :) Nice first post, out of interest to you have any larger crops ? With more canopy or sand in them ? While I like the "sea of trunks" I would like to see more of the coconut stand.

I like it. it does seem a little unreal due to the deep depth of field and no trailing off into blur background, it's almost like a painting.

Welcome to the forum amigo sguerrero.

and to add a REAL surreal photo check this....I never saw anything like it. I had to stop in the middle of the highway stopping traffic to take this one...

Thanks for the commets. I could add that there was a lot of myst at that time since the coconut growers were watering that field early in the day.

The first thing i thought when i saw the first image was, 'That looks like the opening scene to Apocalypse Now.

The mist gives it an eerie/surreal feel. I like it.

I could see myself taking 50 shots and not getting it quite right. I do think that it maybe needs a little more on the bottom, as you can see some of the bottoms of the trees, but not all of them. Really nice though, and the light quality is bang on. Great shot.

Nice images. The image imapct of #2(in the second set) is considerably reduced by the interjection of that distracting palm frond on the right. Without that the shot would take on a whole new visual vibrance and compositional balance that would really make it a lovely image. Be interesting to remove it in PP and see the result.
cheers

Looks like a painting UNBELIEVABLE.
