It's been some time since I have visited here for any length and unfortunately I haven't taken much in the way of photo's either, but I did manage to take my camera with me when we took the kids to the zoo over the holidays.

Good Lord, never again....it was almost impossible to get close to anything, and as for the big cats...as soon as they twitched a whisker people were shoving and pushing and taking images through perspex with their flashes on

But I did manage to keep all the kids out of the cages (including the hubby) and get these 3 images. Not fantastic or awe inspiring, but I was reasonably happy with them


This guy was shot through perspex, right before a rather rude woman squatted down in front of me and actually hit my camera lens with her arse! She was so excited it was posing

If you have photoshop, and can reduce the shadows in #1, I think you'd be surprised by how much better that photo can look. What on earth is it anyway?

As to what it is.....I just call it a BFL...the first word being BIG, the last being LIZARD........and you can probably guess at the middle word.

Yes, you can really see the detail of the skin under it's chin. Well done.
