A Couple of Hills

Hi all

It has been a while since I have posted any pictures, it has been a while since I have had anything worth posting. :)

Here are a couple of hills from arounnd my local area. The first one is a Pano of Mt Korong near Inglewood Victoria. I took a much larger Pano but this piece is what caught my eye, the lighting is a little harsh as it was close to midday and there were no clouds around.

The second is a photo of Mt Hope near Pyramid Hill Victoria, the area around the hill is fairly flat so I thought the cattle yards and fence would add some interest.

Hi Paul....

I'd suggest a circular polarizer with both of these shots and a tad more contrast. With deep blue skys the shots would look great!

For a little bit of PP curiosity.... try using a velvia filter also... you might like the deeper colours.

cheers

I agree with xerubus about using a polariser for these types of shots, I think it would cut out a lot of the glare that seems to dampen the colours in the the top shot.

I like the scene in the second shot, the colours are nice and warm. :)

Thanks for your comments xerubus and oli

I don't actually own a circular polariser as yet, looks like I should get hold of one.

A must have for landscapes. :P

I recommend the B+W branded ones. I haven't used any others but another forum user I know had a Hoya one which fell apart (literally)...
