Few Bee shots

all though technically the depth of field here is too shallow, I like it! The parts that are infocus, look really sharp too.

Nice, but looks a bit hot in spots as there are quite a few highlights that have been lost.

Shots were @ f5 just trying to get his head & wings in focus thats all

I do like these shots - the DOF does not worry me as the content and colour are superb :D

Having tried to get a shot of a bee the other week and ending up with something that was about 40 times smaller - I'm totally spun out by your shots. What kind of lens are you using and how close were you able to get?

great bee shots........ the shallow DOF does not worry me but in the second shot the gate cuts into your subject, but not a bad image......I feel lens lust for a longer macro.......well done

Hi Cyrus the lens is Nikons 200mm Macro great lens, the bee was around 400-500mm from the lens

very vibrant and rich in tones, the view is really great to look at and the detail is amazing :!:
