Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

I find photos of decaying machines very intersting. Do you have any more photos of this train/carriage?

Hey Doug,
I was looking for rusty/decaying machinery and this just happened to be there.
I have some similar angled shots, will post more for you later.
Cheers

Nice shot.

Btw, max res. you should post on here is around 800 across... remember that most of us don't use 1600 x 1200!

Hey Potatis,
here are a few more of the same train thing....
It is actually used to transport molten steel from a blast furnace to the rolling mills. I don't know the correct term for it though.
Sorry about quality but it wasn't a good day to take photos.
I actually planned to take some photos in darkness, but the roaming guard dogs sort of persuaded me not to jump over the wall at night.
And Nnnnsic, I reduced these to 800max, but sadly all the details go.
And I am not lucky enough to work at 1600 x 1200 either.

These are all excellent, Marty. :D The BW conversions are very good, the tones are outstanding. #3 is great because I can see what it was that you originally posted. I guess that thing's been sitting there for many years.

Don't worry about the image sizes, these photos still show great detail. Thanks for posting them. :)

I hope this isn't the one Birdy told me to take from the hotel to the mini meet on Sat.
