Thanks All.
The #1 shot was taken at a group of old buildings just near QUT. I too found it ironic with the modern bulbs visible. I couldn't decide what to shoot straight, as nothing was vertical! In the end the light fixture won out. I blew out the background a bit as it just had people, cars etc in it. Taken with my 70-200 2.8. The second shot was down near the river near the hotels, on a private pontoon that was left unlocked ![]() Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Nice shots and good to see some images of Bris
The first one seems to have a thin vertical element just showing on the right right hand edge of the image that could be cropped out IMHO Keep up the good work Gecko Nikon D70, SB600, Benbo Trekker, LSII, KingPano and a lot to learn!
Like these shots, the B&W suits them both.
You could almost have spot the anachronism in both shots, first the bulb and second the little motor on the 2nd boat.
Well spotted Gecko! Have just trimmed it and updated. Alpha_7 - Yeah, that was the subtle story, well picked up ![]() Mudder - Your monitor may be a bit better than mine - can't quite see it? Maybe due to resizing? I've just replaced the first image with some cropping of the black strip Gecko pointed out - maybe that changed it? Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX.
