BBJ - Thanks - I find it hard to shoot straight in to the sun tho... I have to use the Shadow/Highlight tool alot to bring out a lot of the detail. I have a cir polarising filter for my 80 - 200 but not for my 70 - 300, looks like I will have to get me one!!!!

Great shots. The colours sure are nice!
I'm looking forward to getting some kite surfing shots this summer - I only just got my DSLR after the last season finished.
How long is your lens?
Here in Adelaide I'd be shooting at Henley Beach late in the day (ie. into the sun) so if you have any tips I'd be glad to hear them!

Thanks for the comments guys.
Oli - I have only had my camera for 5 months, so I am learning as I am going along... These were shot with my 70 - 300 ED on a monopod. One tip if you are shooting in to the sun is get yourself a cir-polarising filter and use the Shadow/Highlight tool in Photoshop CS !!!!

Other than that mate - just hold your finger down and you're bound to get a few keepers out of a 1meg CF card!!!
