I was wondering what happened to her the other day.

Love the b&w pics Tai. The shot of the acoustic guitar in the 3rd pic is yummy :D *I'm biased 'cos i have one similar to it ;)*

Nice work Genji!!
Haven't heard much from Vanessa recently but she's a gorgeous girl. Do we get a shot of your new hair cut ? :) Really like this series, I can't pick a favourite.

I like your asymetrical composition and the diferential focus, the angled and tight crops thoughtfully done. 3,4 and 5 are my favs

Vanessa is gorgeous and you've given her justice. I like your framing.

Great images Genji! #1 (love its grainy feel) and #3 (creative opposition) are my picks. Very natural and good reportage.
cheers

Nice shots and that guitar looks like one I'd like to have!

Vanessa has been living in adelaide working as a contractor building fences. I believe she got a bit jack of the industry and got out and now is just doing her own thing when SHE wants to... (thats the unofficial story and way)

But some nice shots and she looks a lot prettier than what I remember

I'm a massive Vanessa Amorosi fan. Love the shots- especially 7- coz it has the band in it!

thanks for the reply y'all.

i was standing about 4 metres away,. i felt self-conscious standing to the side of the band alone by myself.

i should be braver next time and stand 'front on' to the band, the stage and seating where about 8 metres apart, but would have taken better pics.

genji,
Do as the Pro or PJ, walk straight right to her front and aim the lens to her, shoot with difference angle, these singers or models, they alway pose for you, never shy in front of the lens.

It's not the model or singer that's shy infront of the lens...

its us poor photographers that are shy behind it :)

(well at least me anyways).

This is my style, I alway ignored all other factors, walked straight to the stage, be ready and shoot, even I can came closed as 1/2 metre and shoot at their face at low level.
Guys! want to do a proper job, then have to be confidence.
