Don't mean to hijack a post, but thought I might as well post some of my pics in here rather than start a new thread.
Like jeff said, we caught up on the Saturday and a good day was had, finished off with a lager or two. It was great to spend the day with someone who enjoys his photography as much as I do, and understands the importance of getting the perfect shot. Thank Jeff for putting up with me draggin you round the forest trying to fing some of those bloody sponsor signs
Jeff, think yourself lucky you didn't go out to the forest on the Sunday. It absolutely bucketed down. 1.5 inches of rain in the morning alone. Luckily my wet weather gear (on me and my camera) worked a treat, but jesus, does it make it hard to get a good shot. At one stage the fog was so thick I could hardly photograph cars 20 metres away. Unreal!!!
The subaru of Cody Crocker, winner of the 2005 ARC championship.
A subaru sponsored by a beer company. God bless them!
The toyota corolla of Evans and Evans. You can see the rain falling, sort of looks like noise. It was PISSING down
My client wanted spectator photos. I found one on the sunday in the rain, I don't think this is what they wanted though....
The toyota corolla of Barker and Long. This was the final super special stage, cut short due to rain.
A great day was had and I learned many things about working for a clilent over the four days of the rally. I have to say that rallies are far better to photograph than V8's, much more excitement. Get to one if you have the chance folks.
(and now, back to processing my 2500 images).
