Here are a couple of pics of water dragons taken at Brisbane Botanical Gardens while on a photography outing with a mate. Comments welcome. :D

Great captures K. He was really posing for you!

You've done very well with the exposure here in what looks like tricky lighting conditions. My only advice would be to attempt to clone out that leaf behind him - looks like some sort of dorsal spike!

Edit: Nah...looking back at it, I rescind this comment. The leaf is sufficiently out of focus and cloning it would cause more problems than it would fix. I'm sure you've already thought about it and decided to leave it in. I concur.

Well done. :)

Manta at times it's hard to decide whether to clone out the environment or leave it in. A lot of the NSN guys are pro on having a picture perfect background, then their are the few others who are fed up with the picture perfect backgrounds that look like the bird/animal has been modelled in a set environment. At times they do go this extent and place backdrops that they feel more visually stunning than what is actually their (seems to be mostly done with hummers).

My main reason for not cloning stuff out of my pics is that I'm crap at Photoshop! Having said that, I probably wouldn't have touched this image even if I was a cloning expert. :D
