Tortured Warratah???

Since moving to digital I have found it it immensely fun and flexible to have a bit of a play with images.
After a stressful day at work I took my frustrations out on a Warratah. I carefully strangled the flower and forced it to succumb to full flash pops and hideously long timed exposures. After this torturous regime I then desatuarted it's leaves and framed it in black.

What's your opinion?

Really nice. A great way to focus on the beautiful red of the flower. However you may have missed a bit of desaturation below the flower on two leaves.

Nice work.

Lovely treatment and with a perfect specimen it would be a work of art. Lighting is well balanced and great framing applied. Well done!

Can't disagree with the previous comments regarding improvements Paul but, as my learned colleagues have themselves admitted, it was a pretty special piece of work to start with. Very graphic and in-your-face but still retaining the delicate nuances when you look deeper.

Good stuff.

And I was hoping for a picture of Wendell Sailor in his new sky-blue jersey.
