I thought I'd post a preview of a group show I'm part of that's actually featuring some ART of mine. Not just random pictures, not just Photoshop jobs... art. So keep your snide comments about the horizon being off, the focus point being wrong, the detail not being quite perfect, how I should have shot it with a different lens, and all that other nonsense to yourself and critique it for being... well... art. So come and support me! Actually, that's not the reason you should come. The real reason is that my images are in colour. The exhibition is a group show at The Elk in Kings Cross and starts this Thursday (August 20) with the opening going from 7.30pm to 1am , according to the Facebook page . I've been informed that the exhibition will run for two weeks too, so if you miss it on Thursday... it'll be there the next day. And the day after that. Full invite below:

Good luck with the exhibition Leigh. What a shame I can't make it to Sydney this weekend (other than the airport) as I'd love to see yourcolour images. Congrats Leigh. I know that you've been working hard on this and now you see that work up on display! Great stuff.
Bel and I will hope to get there, if not on the opening night, within the two weeks.

I agree Chris. This is exactly what I need, and I hope with how original some of the ideas are in the images, it'll be a success too. Should I sell them? How the hell do I edition them?! Oh, and I found out. The Elk is a pub and food place, so yeah, it's open in the day and you can pretty much walk in, eat, drink, and gaze at imagery.

Good luck tonight, Leigh. I know that you've worked hard to get this together.
Have fun. We're all excited for you.

To give ya'll an idea how it's going... People online are giving me good feedback (Facebook, IM, etc) and while not many people came to the opening, a few came out to support. I went with a friend on Saturday night to have a few drinks and show her my artwork and sadly, two had already been stolen. The images "The Fucker" (the dickhead) and "The Drinker" (the wine cask) have been stolen.
