Hi all,

have been reading the forums for a while, and decided to join up.

I have had a Fuji S7000 for quite sometime, and have been fairly happy with it so far. Recently I have been having trouble getting the outcomes I want out of it though, so an upgrade to a more serious camera is hopefully going to happen in the next fortnight. Anyway I thought I would show a few shots . Be gentle.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I think the first and fourth pictures look great! In fact, it took me a couple of looks to notice that the fourth was actually a fish and not a hunk of coral. What sort of camera are you looking to upgrade to?

Welcome aboard. This is a great place to learn, and you'll find that there is a few here who enjoy underwater photography.

I like your images, that sure is one ugly fish in the last two!

Hi and Welcome.

I too own a s7000 it's not a bad camera, but when I went to the D70 I felt my shots just started to jump off the page. No shutter lag etc. However, I still have the s7000 as it still does come in handy now and again, using the macro function and the video just to name 2 features that make it worthwhile keeping.

Cheers

Well alright...I have upgraded.

Bought a 2nd hand 300D + battery grip, remote button thingo, kit lens and filters for $300 from my wifes boss, still in box with manuals. Its only done 6000 cycles, and takes great clear shots. I fired off about 400 shots on the weekend with mixed results, but thoroughly enjoyed myself (the important part). Totally kicks butt over my other camera.

The idea is I can always get a 40D later, when I have mastered not using full auto mode!

As soon as I do some PP, I will brave a reviews and critiques thread.
