				New member saying hello

				Hi there,
Just thought I would pop in a post and say hello to everyone. I joined a few weeks ago but have been too scared to post any replies as yet. So I thought I would jump in the deep end and just say hello.
I'm probably what you could call an amateur amateur photographer, being that although I recently picked up a nice D70 (thanks to Colcam), I've pretty much only used a point and shoot before. So I have been picking up lots of hints so far, although there are lots of abbreviations and terms that I have no idea what they mean.
I anticipate that I will learn a lot from the members on here and hope you will be gentle with my first photo posts!

Thanks
L

				Hi, and welcome.
Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have.
We're a friendly lot, and we (mostly) don't bite.
We basically are of the opinion that the only stupid question is the one that you fail to ask.
So please, pull up a glass of your favourite beverage, relax, and enjoy (y)our little cyberpub.

				Hi L - welcome,
Don't forget the "Absolute Beginners" section, that's where I first posted on the forum. And... don't be shy - show us your work!
Mitchell.

				Hullo,
I'm fairly new too, but these people rock! They are funny and easy going, no need to fear. These guys are great to learn from.
Cheers

Ohhh, thanks for the warm welcome guys!
I'm already feeling a bit more at ease on here. As for some photos, hopefully I will be able to have a somewhat blind stab at using Photoshop this week and post them soon.
Cheers all!

Don't you leave it too long LB and don't forget to do a search on any topic you might want to know about. Good chance it's been covered here before. If not or if you simply can't find it, a question in the Absolute Beginners or General Discussion areas will be warmly met. Don't be scared off by the title Absolute Beginners - we were all there once and the only way we've built up the mass of information found here is by asking questions and having them answered. Pro and amateur, veteran and rookie - they're all equal within these walls.

And I still consider myself an absolute beginner - so you'll have company in that section
