Please count me in for the Pro loop strap x1.

I like the idea of black with yellow or white print.

Thanks :)

Birddog... just catching up with all the posts here... sheesh... not enough hours in the day!!!

The pro loop strap looks good to me in black and yellow... but I'll go with majority rules on this one... as long as it co-ordinates with my favourite new D70 polo shirt I'm in !!!

Birddog,
Do you have any idea whether we are going to go ahead and if so, the timeline? I would love to have the strap before I go trekking around NZ if we can get them organised. Not going for another month yet. Thanks for organising this, yet again!

Just got off the phone with Gary about this,
OK, got Optech's email this morning, they're doing the artwork for our logo, once they faxed to me the proof, and I fax back to them my approval hopefully today, then they're able to ship them out by end of next week by airfreight, will take 4-5 days.
I'll keep evryone posted.

$5.oo donation?

Postby Glen on Fri Nov 05, 2004 10:40 am

I am going to go out on a limb here, but I think these are a really good price (probably under market), and I personally have received a lot of value from my membership of this forum and so to expand on MHD's idea, why don't we all pay five dollars ($5.oo) extra to help offset Birddy's funding of the prizes, holding costs, etc. Birddog is far too generous to suggest this, but it would only be appropriate. To most of us $5 represents an infitismly small proportion of our yearly camera budget (except the guy on MHD webpage poll who said he spends $10 or less a year. He was either bullshitting or his wife/girlfriend was watching)

Any thoughts on the above?

Glen, I agree 100%.

The great thing about give and take is that it works both ways. I know Birdy would graciously refuse, but I believe that we would all be very happy for the opportunity to acknowledge our appreciation in a tangible way.

Let's say it is to offset telephone costs!!!!

Hi All,
I would like to say thanks to Glen and all members with the ideas of doing reimbursements for some of my expenses of the works for the community.
From my heart, if I receive those funds, On behalf of the community, I'll redirect it to Salvation Army or other Charity Group, cos I think there'are many needies at Xmas time and we're going to have lot of fun but they didn't.
What I do need from you guy, a great & continuously support and appreciation for my contribution to the community and hope it will last in many years to come. A certification of appreciation from the community will bright up my life and bring joy to my family.

Hey Birdy - it's a wonderful gesture for you to organise this group buy. I'm sure it would have taken quite a bit of your commitment in terms of time and money. And you've got your business to run and are would probably be sacrificing that for our community. So if you're refusing a monetary subsidy, I'm willing to donate my time. When the shipment comes in, I wouldn't mind dropping my your place and helping out with handling the orders and organising them to be posted off to interstaters and the like. Let me know when ya need me, and I'll be there. :)

Hi Birddog

Can you please put me down for one of the pro-loop straps?

Please don't forget I am also down for one of those bean-bag things as well (I am not sure if you have received the stock as yet).

I would also like to purchase a polo-shirt. I would prefer black or white. I am not sure what size I would need. Maybe someone can give me an idea of sizing (I have never purchased a polo-shirt before - are these unisex?)

I will wait for your confirmation on the above items as well as a total with shipping (unless I arrive in Sydney before you send and in that case I will pick up as I am staying in Campbelltown and I will get to meet you). I am happy to pre-pay for everything and I would also like to make a donation. Let me know how to make payment for you.

Cheers

Kristine hi,
Your name is on my waiting list for a pro loop strap

Polo shirt is unisexes and size is in Large/ X Large/ XX Large and available in black, I think large size is most common for women in relaxing and comfortable.

Bean Bag hasn't arrive yet, delay from supplier's end.

Payment can be made at the time of collect your order, no need pre-payment.

Donation; Thanks for your thoughts, unfortunately, The D70Users Forum has no donation policy and Gary never mentioned it same as request, I'm here to support the community with my own will and my own resources same as the founder.

If you give a call once you're in Campbelltown and we will work out which way is convenience for you.
