hi there,

I have found a little dust noise on pictures from my EOS... So I tried to calibrate Dust Delete Data (according to the manual, result: Data obtained and there is calibration date shown in camera menu) but there is no exif data in the puctures taken after this calibration ("Dust Delete Data: No") and therefore there is "apply dust delete data" disabled in th DPP.

Have you seen behavior like this?

Maybe a Canon user can help you. I certainly haven't seen EXIF like that.

But, I'm wondering whether after gathering the data for removing the dust, there might be another control to switch it on. In other words, the camera retains the data, but you have to tell it to apply it to an image.

Is there a menu item that does this?

The EXIF data you have listed is stock standard when tabulated.

There may be a problem in that you have no dust present which would result in no data!

Thanks a lot. This is my problem (dust is gone after about 5 dust shake-off). I thought that Dust Delete Data are present in EXIF everytime.
So, this is new knowledge.

thanks
