POTW 31 Oct 2017

Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

POTW 31 Oct 2017

I liked this image the moment I saw it....it is whimsical and has some interesting compositional elements. For instance, the leaves of the flowers mimick the dress of the dancer...they seem to have the same tension. The flowers seem to be dancing and I like the PP treatment of the image. It is also curious that the image space is almost divided into 2 equal, separate images....yet they melt together to form a coherent and unified picture. Something not easy to do. I just like this picture! Well done Zaff!
