Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.
Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

I just got back from a few days' camping at Myall Lakes National Park (just north of Nelson Bay). Felt a bit Russel Coight-ish, due to my city slickerness... but luckily was with a convoy of outdoorsy people that looked after me. 
I took predominantly landscapes, and working with the smaller apertures I was ever so mindful of dust bunnies (I had cleaned my CCD days before departure but knew I would have them bunnies come along with me). I regret not taking more shots, but I'm not sure if my yield of "good" images would be higher if I had taken more.
My humble Manfrotto tripod allowed me some spectacular images otherwise not possible. It stood up very well against strong gale force winds. I was very impressed!
I forgot to shoot the star trails I had planned on doing. Maybe next time.
I'm currently having some issues with my Pixspot gallery (exceeded disk quota), but there are 3 images so far in this album:

Hi Onyx - Hawk’s Nest is a superb spot for photography. I have some very nice shots of that area, especially the sand dunes, but they were taken on the D1 and not the D70. BTW I like the pic brought back memories.

Hi Onyx. Will be spending the last week Jan at Hawksnest with the family. Looking forward to some good photo opportunities. Maybe I'll be able to get some candids of John Howard - doesnt he holiday there? Like the moon shot - I think getting up early and going to the lake-side will be wat I try to do.

Thanks Chris. Yeah the sand dunes was one thing I got some heavily polarised and incorrectly exposed shots of... at least we enjoyed 4WDriving over them.

Fantastic Onyx, that is a winner.
One comment however, the text on the print is very distracting. I imagine you are looking at protecting your copyright which is fair enough, and I don't have a better solution.

When I took it, I wasn't sure about the tree on the right. I knew I couldn't get rid of it, so I thought what the heck - why not highlight it with the SB800 fired in slow sync.

LOL, no she's fully clothed and fishing. The water's yucky brown so I don't know what they're trying to catch. Although the following morning I did sorta stumble into a couple that I suspect might have been skinny dipping before my arrival/invasion. I promptly left without taking pics and went back to camp.
80-200 Glen is using as a model for his bokeh comparison tests the last I saw.

I knew that area very well, cos my holiday home in Boat Harbour, Nelson Bay, we have been there at some day first light in the morning and met few strange couples, that why I asked Birddog114

RE: the 80-200. Yeah, we contemplated that. I dunno when I'll next see you or drop by your base however, so Glen and I decided the meet on 8th would work for us.
