For those following the Melbourne weather. To think that I'd shot this picture on Monday night... a slight contrast to today.

Absolutely Alistair. I don't know about anyone else but it's been a sleepless night for me. We have a big tree out front of our place and I kept waking up thinking it was going to go. It survived but it would appear many trees along the train tracks did not!

As a result I left home at 7am this morning and was still trying to get on a train at 9:30am. So I'm back home again waiting for my boss to send me some work home as they couldn't guarantee when the next train would come.

Hope everyone else is ok!

Nicole and All Melb's members,
Sorry to hear that you have had a bad day yesterday and last night with the wild weather.
I hope things will settle down and quick recover soon. BTW, pls post some pics of the aftermath if anyone have.

Birddog, I haven't seen anything like this since there was a big flood when I was living in geelong in 1995. We lived up on a hill and to see water everywhere was amazing. I've heard that a lot of people aren't coming in today where I work.

We had a 10m tall tree in the back yard fall over, squashing a fence and missing a shed by 1m and the next-door neighbour's house by no more than that..

Also, with a tin(ish) roof there was not a lot of sleep to be had..

Fun Fun Fun!!
