Definitely not too late!

Updated list:-

Alex + 1
Redline
Dave B
Jamie
Makario + 1
Nikon Boy + 1
blinkblink
Pirostitch
stormygirl +1
Nicole
el nino

and me +1

That makes 17 so far - I know a couple are maybes.

Reiterating the plan...

Friday 11 August, 6:30 ish
Possible Venue - Somewhere in Victoria Street Richmond. I have a place in mind to suggest, but I can't remember the name. Stay tuned.

If anyone can suggest a good place in Vic St, speak up (or elsewhere for that matter). The way things are going, we should be 20+ in number. Somewhere with a couple of big round tables would be good.

With 20 in attendance, you could just about fully occupy Mexicali Rose, I would expect. :)

Love the Rose Gary, but not quite the right format for a group.

Have been there quite a few times myself, it is good. If anything, slightly noisy. Wonder if they have a room upstairs? Might head to Vic St on the weekend and do some research, and have lunch :D

Definitely not too late!

Thanks Greg B.

Re: dining on Vic St.
The only place I can recommend would be Pacific House Seafood (Cantonese cuisine, great fishy dishes and nice meat roasts), but it is very noisy and busy on Fri, Sat nights. BYO too.

Tho Tho at 66 Victoria Street offer two banquets, $30 and $35 per head.

I have eaten there on a number of occasions, and the food is always good.

I attempted to get some detail about the banquets on offer, but her English was only slightly better than my Vietnamese, and communication eluded us.

Stay tuned.

OK, to all those who are on the list or may not be on the list, I will be looking to firm up some numbers by the end of the week.

So please check your diaries, consider your position, think about your situation, and stand by to confirm or otherwise at the end of this week.

I reckon the venue will be either Tho Tho or Ha Long Bay. They are only 100 metres apart in Victoria Street (numbers 66 and 82 respectively), just east of the railway bridge.

Sorry, But Fri the 11th is a bad night for me. I have to work early on Sat morning. Which, as a matter of interest, will be the last shift in my working life as I am retiring. :)
Pity that you weren't arranging it for the following week. Ah well, c'est la guerre.
Regards

I'm a definite maybe, which I suppose makes me a no.

The way things are at work at the moment I don't know if I can get away. Project deadline looms. :(

I think we can handle a maybe. If we go to Tho Tho, it is such a busy place anyway, a couple this way or that won't matter too much.

Let's review mid week.

Hi folks. Sorry, had trouble posting before, thought I had included the address.

Location is:-

Tho Tho 66 Victoria Street Richmond

It is on the south side of Victoria street, about a hundred metres east of the railway bridge, corner of Shelley Street, opposite Westpac.

I'll book in the name of Bourke, on account of that's my name.

Have fun guys and gals - I was thinking I might make it down to say hi to you all, but now looks like I'll only be for the day again on Thursday. I have something very important on Saturday back here too, so staying over for Friday night probably isn't a good idea.

Unfortunately, Nikon Boy/Norm has to work on Friday night so has withdrawn. Redline has also withdrawn. Jamie has some medical stuff going on - good luck with that too Jamie. Our one possible interstate visitor sheepie/Leon can't make it, so this is the list of starters..
